Moments With a Master

A 27-year-old spiritual seeker and freelance writer from the United States traveled to India to spend some time with her family in Pune. Her life seemed fraught with difficulties in those days — her father was battling terminal illness and she was afraid of losing him; one of her closest friendships had recently been severed; she was confused about her future career plans; and she felt that she had come up against an interminable writer's block. An unexpected opportunity to conduct a series of one-on-one interviews with one of contemporary India's better-known spiritual teachers and humanitarians, Dada J.P. Vaswani, changed it all. Dada's answers were the balm that soothed and provided her with the strength essential to confront the challenges of life.

Moments With a Master chronicles the magical interactions between this young seeker and the spiritual master we call Dada. By weaving Dada's memorable and insightful commentaries and parables on a variety of spiritual and mundane topics, together with his life experiences as well as those of the author, this part-memoir, part-biography and part-pilgrimage journal illuminates one of humanity's modern day mystics.
